The new awards are now open for police and others to nominate your work. We are keen to celebrate the fantastic work being done by police to keep people out of the criminal justice system, and where necessary support them into other services and support.
As a former recipient of a Howard League for Penal Reform Community Award, as both a runner-up and a winner, I was delighted to be asked to share my reflections on the last few months and of the awards themselves.
I feel privileged to be asked for a second year to be a member of the Howard League Community Awards judging panel.
This gives me the perfect opportunity to see some of the fantastic work from different projects around the country and to think about how we can best share all the innovation with other services nationally.
