Deaths on probation Report summaryThe Howard League’s research, by Professor Loraine Gelsthorpe, Nicola Padfield and Jake Phillips of Cambridge University, analyses data on people dying under probation supervision and is the first time such a study has been carried out.
It points out the need for additional information about deaths under probation supervision in order to highlight prevention as a priority, and makes a series of recommendations around the need for an ‘ethics of care’ surrounding the needs of others for whom we take responsibility.
