Response to the Sentencing Council’s Drug Offences consultation

“The revisions to the Drugs Offences Sentencing Guideline provides an opportunity to address the disparity in sentencing that has been found to exist in respect of drugs offences. Tackling discrimination should be an urgent priority of the Council and the matter should receive appropriate and explicit coverage in the Guideline if progress is to be made. ”
